Happy New Years to All! Even though I may be posting this really late.

Our online store is open for orders! For the people who order from us or are interested in ordering from us watch out for our store update. Some of our fabric print and color choices from our Eye Pillows may not be available. Our plan for 2013 is to add our current fabric prints and also add our other products (neck pillow, zip cases, tote bags, dream pillows, and yoga mat bags). But if you interested in buying our other products, email us @ sweetdreamscoop@gmail.com and we can consult with fabric choices and payments.

Everyone’s pillows turned out amazing! Many people are super creative, they made phone cases and ornaments instead!

We had a great variety of people with different sewing levels. The workshop was a ton of fun!

Come by Sweet Dreams Project’s booth and pick up some gifts for the holidays. Our eye pillows, neck pillows, zip cases will be there! Also, we have limited fleece animal hats and earrings created by yours truly, Sweet Dreams!

Sweet Dreams and Turning Heads will be teaching attendees how to make fleece Tooth Fairy Pillows for children. Children ages 6 and up are welcome to participate but must be accompanied by an adult. See you all there!!!

Spark SF is an organization that works with women’s organizations around the world and improve the lives of women. These past months Spark SF women have been working with Turning Heads members with workshops to improve our business Sweet Dreams as well as our personal lives.

One of the first workshops we had was called Banking. We learned about budgeting, and smart money managing. The second workshop we had was Social Media where we talked about advertising our business on the internet by our blog and facebook. We learned about keeping our customers updated with events and sale promotions. Our third workshop was Excel which was to keep our accounting organized. We learned different formulas and made data sheets for our sales. Our fourth workshop was visioning. Visioning is looking at the future for the business and for ourselves.

Thank you to all the Spark women who helped us improve Sweet Dreams and our lives with all the new information you have taught us. All of this information this will help each one of us with our future career goals. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us and for listening to ours too.

School Season

Hello everyone, this is Veronica. It’s this time of the year, school is starting. Melissa is starting this week. Mariluz, and Joselyn start next week. Nancy C, Nancy M, and Samantha start the week after next week. Then I start the week after.

A lovely eye pillow or a neck pillow would be perfect for students with workloads of homework. I would also like to remind everyone to like us on Facebook to receive a coupon for your next order.

Day THREE: Squaw Valley Retreat

Today is our last day in Squaw Valley. We had buckwheat pancakes with fruits for breakfast today which was really good. We started this a different puzzle last night which was 500 pieces and we couldn’t complete it because of the time. Before, we really left the house we watched part of the Olympics. Then me (Veronica) and Mariluz did our final headstand in the house.

On our way back to San Francisco, we had our lunch stop in Auburn. We had sandwiches made by the ladies and yummy pie from Ikeda. The ride back home was pretty quick and we made it home safely.

A huge Thank you to all the mentors who planned this retreat! Thank you for giving us a great experience, hope to see you all again!

DAY ONE: Squaw Valley retreat.

Today we arrived at the studio around 2:15 to get ready for our adventure to Squaw Valley. As we waited for the wise women to arrive, we talked about our expectations about the trip. We were all very excited! A couple of minutes later they arrived. We met Chetana, Lauren, Ellen, Jennifer, and Annie who were going to be our mentors. As we were heading out of the city, we had to split the group to fit into two cars.In each car, we shared about stories about ourselves.

After 5 hours, we finally arrived to our beautiful destination. We had quinoa salad for our late dinner, after we stayed up all night playing games and solving a “100 piece puzzle” which was actually 1,000. Unfortunately, some of our members suffered in their sleep by the bunk beds.

Recent Projects

I was on my way to the studio from school, and it was raining lightly outside but I didn’t bother to use my umbrella since the wind was blowing one side. I came here 10 minutes before 4:30 and I sat down and relaxed awhile listening to my ipod, while listening to my co-workers interesting conversations and snacking on cheese.

So we started are meeting and we got to work.Around 5 o’ clock Richard Lee came in so Me and Nadia can start working on the new project. It is a fleece robe with a kimono style collar. When I saw the pattern pieces I felt a bit overwhelmed on how to put these pieces together and cut them. But we did really great, and it wasn’t so bad after all.

After that we started working on the inside for the neck pillow.I pretty much have the steps memorized because I was working on that the first time I started coming to the co-op. Well, right now everyone is working on harvesting the lavender. I’m going to go join them now so…good bye!
